Myspace About Me

So here is the about me bit for myspace...I'm not sure I like it but then I hate these damned about me sections. I suppose if I was really into myself I would enjoy filling it out, but I have never seen much of a point to telling people who I am rather than showing it.

As a child I knew what I believed, rebelling against much that I was taught. After a while, I grew sick of fighting and turned instead to silence and tried to accept what I could that was presented to me. I continued to have experiences that I tried to push away, denying what they were to try to make my life less complicated and turbulent. Even my parents couldn't explain some of the events that happened, but I still reasoned it away.

When my grandfather came to me in a dream, saying only my name but remaining once I opened my eyes, it broke the last defense I had created. I began to search for answers, for reasons why this was happening. In that search I found I was really searching for myself, for who I am. I am still searching and refining.

I am many things; a spirit, a starseed, an elder sister, a teacher, a stubborn child, a diligent student, but these are all just labels. Above all I am one among many lives here upon this planet. I have met many wonderful people in this learning process and I am very grateful for each and every one of them--regardless of where we all are today. I was blessed with a very patient guide who continues to push me forward along this path. Finally, I am returning to who I have always been.

Ah, thank you. Mine's okay. I'm sure yours is just fine. ^_^ I just hate doing those stupid things...don't want to drone on, don't want to be too vague...ugh.

That's really nice.

You come across as being very approachable, I think, as you are. In putting it together this way, you really cut through all the superficial separating types of things that often show up and divide us-- you know, "well, I don't know if I could really talk with _her_, because she is/has such-and-such, and I can't relate to that in my own experiences." But yeah... this reminds us that the oneness is there, and that there's no pigeonholing or categorizing you (or any of us) as anything simply and easily definable or describable, as humans often tend to do to other humans.
